About Ira D. Blecker

I am an experienced intellectual property law practitioner who has been practicing intellectual property law for over 30 years. I spent 20 of those years working for International Business Machines Corporation where I received numerous formal and informal awards for patent and licensing activities on behalf of IBM.

I have drafted patent applications, and obtained patents, in many technical fields including semiconductors, semiconductor apparatus, semiconductor packaging, software, networking, machine tools, metals, ceramics, chemical compounds, chemical processes, heat shrinkable materials and connectors, and jet engines.

I have experience in advising clients on obtaining trademarks, filing trademark application and maintaining trademarks.

I also have varied transactional experience in alliance activities from the very simple to the very complex which often required patent licensing and/or technology licensing. These alliance activities ran the gamut from deals involving a few thousand dollars in licensing fees to tens of millions of dollars in licensing fees.

Member of the Georgia, New York and U.S. Patent Office Bars.

I would be pleased to discuss at your convenience any project that you might have.
